Aikido
Saturdays 1pm & Wednesdays 7 pm
We feature a unique approach to Aikido. Coach Jeremy comes from a Tomiki branch of Aikido, trained by Bob King the coach of international Aikido champions, with cross training in Black Panther, MMA, and BJJ. This gives the Aikido taught a very realistic application rather than wishful thinking techniques.

The techniques taught are effective on their own and cross trained into a larger skill set. An experienced fighter and martial artist will come into this class and grow their toolbox of solutions in interesting ways including applications of wristlocks in BJJ guards or cage defense kuzushi. A new martial artist will gain a good self defense foundation that will provide simple but reliable defense solutions.

The Experience
Instructor: Coach Jeremy
One of DDMA's fastest growing classes, Aikido could be described as a technician's class. It's less physically demanding than MMA or boxing, but one of the appeals of Aikido is that it is ideal for smaller people to optimize their ability to unbalance an opponent through body mechanics and physics rather than strength.

Coach Jeremy gives a very relaxed environment and is great at helping students embrace advanced concepts quickly with simple technical tips.
