Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) for Self Defense

This is a class for eveyone, not just professional athletes!

This class teaches a blend of Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, BJJ, and Judo.   Unlike a lot of other programs, we don't just throw you to the wolves and wish you best of luck.  Instead, we teach using the framework of the Nemean Fight System, which applies  a structured development of principles and tactics to guarantee you a much faster development.

This class will teach you to be a well rounded, effective fighter, in all the key areas of martial arts including striking, takedowns, clinches, working against a vertical barrier (the cage), and fighting on the ground.

MMA classes

We do at least 20 minutes of live sparring every class.  Our sparring is light contact (Full speed and 40% power) and high intensity.  It is designed for the playful experimentation and application of technique, not beating each other's faces in.

There are a 2 key differences between this class and a standard MMA program.

  • We provide the same elite level instruction to everyone, not just professional fighters.

  • The emphasis of this class is self defense rather than sport.  We teach both No Gi And Gi techniques, as well as weapon defense, multiple opponents, and other scenario based training
