Coach Greg

Greg Koval has trained in martial arts since 1990 when he began training at Kim's Taekwondo with his father Bruce Koval.

In September of 2012, Coach Greg opened Koval Taekwondo to teach old school power Taekwondo with educated cross training for self defense.  This was the foundation for what was later to become Devil Dog Martial Arts, which is the culmination of developed systems and training practices that were established under the Koval Taekwondo program.

Greg Koval is a 6th Degree Black Belt Master Instructor in Taekwondo under Grand Master Moo H Kim, and under the continued guidance of Grand Master Rick Morad.  Greg Koval is also a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Professor Ante Dzolic at Rio Pro.  In addition, Coach Greg has spent decades cross training Boxing, Muay Thai, Wrestling, MCMAP, Hapkido, and Judo.

Sifu Amonte Littlejohn

Amonte Littlejohn began learning the hybrid martial art of Kuntao at age 17.   The martial system, comprised of principles and methods from Chinese Gung Fu and Indonesian Pencak Silat slowly became something that he grew to love and his life soon became centered upon its practice.

In college through graduate school, Amonte would take his love for martial study overseas to his mother's home country in Thailand to not only learn their traditional systems, but share his Kuntao with those who wanted to learn. Among his students stand the Thai Royal Marines.

It is his unwavering belief that learning to protect one's self is the highest practice of self-respect available to mankind. By learning how to deal with any adversity, we become all the more in accord with ourselves.

Bruce Koval is Greg Koval's father, and has been training in Taekwondo since 1983 when he started training at a company Taekwondo club at Technicare.   When Technicare closed, he continued his training at Kim's Taekwondo.

Now through Devil Dog Martial Arts he is showing the benefits of years of hard work and discipline.  We can learn a great deal from his experience in almost 40 years of Taekwondo.  Also, at over 75 years old, he continues to demonstrate the health benefits of continued training.  He is a great resource on teaching how to continue your training as you age, and to adapt your style to fit your current physical abilities.
